The mobile staff at JDT Consultants implement some intensive mental health services. New regulations meant it needed audit-proof records of its mileage reimbursements but it didn't want to burden its workers with manually logging miles. That's why it chose MileIQ for Teams.
Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) is a short-term intensive voluntary service focusing on children and adolescents dealing with behavioral and emotional issues, recent psychiatric hospitalizations and/or at risk of losing placement. Needless to say, the last thing the TBS Coaches are concerned about is logging their mileage for reimbursement. JDT Consultants used to just pay TBS Coaches for their road time, with minimal documentation required. But, new regulations meant it would have to move to a mileage reimbursement program that had audit-proof records. Rolando Valero, Clinical Supervisor at JDT Consultants, was tasked with finding a solution that would keep them in compliance without burdening TBS Coaches.
Rolando had personally been using MileIQ to track his drives. He was aware of how convenient the automatic tracking worked and how comprehensive the reporting was. He launched a pilot program of MileIQ for Teams for a small team, got great feedback and then implemented it to more than 90 mobile TBS Coaches.
"MileIQ for Teams has made it very easy for our staff to focus on their work in the field and not have to worry about filling out forms or documents," Rolando said. "I don't know what else to say, it's been very easy for us."
MileIQ for Teams has led to a mileage reimbursement program that satisfies the compliance needs of JDT Consultants. Importantly, it doesn't add an undue burden to mobile staff that needs to focus their energies on the intense tasks at hand. The robust digital reporting helps JDT Consultants comply with regulations while also removing the hassle of manual documentation. "Best of all, MileIQ for Teams has led to a lot less paperwork," Rolando said.
